Brittanie and Danny originally met in the fall of 2022 at The Office, a bar/restaurant in the North Loop area of Minneapolis. Danny was invited to a Michigan State University football watch party by mutual friends where he was introduced to the President of the Twins Cities Spartans alumni club who happened to be Brittanie. However, it actually took several months until the two of them hung out by themselves, and that wasn't until the night of April 7, 2023. It was then when Brittanie was looking for a friend to join her for a drink after a really bad date. What was supposed to be one drink turned into the two of them closing The Office bar down at 2:00am. After making sure Brittanie got home okay and a kiss goodnight, the rest is history. :)

Brittanie and Danny took a trip to France in May of 2025. Midway through that trip, on Wednesday, May 14th, after spending the day walking 20,000+ steps through the Palace of Versailles, Brittanie came up with the brilliant idea of having a picnic at night on the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. After a dinner of kabobs, cookies, and wine, while watching the stunning light show of the Eiffel Tower, Danny started talking about their "imperfectly perfect" relationship and proposed with a gorgeous ring. He talked about how each of us probably would not have written each other as the perfect partner or who we thought we would be with, but that the pieces of our personalities and lives fit imperfectly perfect together.
